Welcome back and Welcome Term 3!
It was great to see our classmates this morning and find out what kept us busy over the past week.
In Science and Math we reviewed the concepts we started before the break; the properties of fluids (Science) and decomposing a number into its prime factors (Math).
In Français, we wrote Mme Careen a short postcard about what we did on our break. We used everything we know about being good writers (spelling, grammar, punctuation) to write the best 3-sentence message possible. This will serve as our staring point for learning the "passé composé" verb tense. It is a verb tense we use quite often while speaking and writing, so we will be able to learn and put our skills to use right away and often. We learned very quickly today that being able to conjugate the verbs "avoir" and "être" in the present tense is essential for us to be successful, so we will be reviewing these 2 verbs tonight to prove to Mme Careen that we are ready to conjugate any passé composé verb she throws at us!
(And she will be testing us on them tomorrow... so we better be ready)!
