We had a busy February 1!
Here's what we were up to today:
Mme Bees came to do our Roots of Empathy post-visit lesson today. We calculated the cost of diapers and talked about how we felt when maman Sarah changed baby Arlo's diaper during our last baby visit. Some of us were comfortable with it since we have younger siblings at home and help with diaper changes. Some of us were uncomfortable since we felt that having a diaper change is something baby would like to have done in private. We then worked in groups to discuss how we might react to different embarassing/uncomfortable scenarios. Each group had a recorder and a reporter that shared our responses with the class.
Next, in Français, we reviewed our concours timeline. We have a lot of speech writing to do over the next few weeks! Rough drafts are due Monday, February 8 and
class presentations will start February 17.
For LALALA today, and in honour of I Love To Read Month, we heard Mme Careen read us the story, "Gros bobo" by Jeremy Tankard. Children's books are so silly (and cookies and bandaids fix everything)!
Just wait until you see what multiples + colouring equals!
And then, of course, our February picture. What a great looking group we are!
Looking forward to a great (short!) week! :)
