Today in Science, we continued to review the scientific method by asking questions and making predictions about what might happen when we fill an aluminium can with water vapour and then invert it into a bucket of cold water. As a class, we were able to make detailed observations and offer explanations of the results. We also took time in class today to debrief and reflect about our "défi guimauve." Students discussed how they worked as a team and, as a class, we made a list of how we can positively collaborate when working with others. We came up with some great strategies!
Our list included: Discussing, listening, helping, asking if everyone agrees, being prepared and having a plan, and choosing to work with people you already know because you are familiar with how they work. What great ideas! These strategies will be posted in class for us to refer to each time we're working in teams.
Today in Math, students were challenged to write as many "how we use Math in everyday life" ideas as they could. We watched a short video to give us inspiration. Who knew that Math is pretty much everywhere we look?! How many ways will you use Math at home this evening?
